The Southern Leopard Frog lives in North America. One place you can find it is Southern Idaho. I have been looking for this frog in ponds and lakes. I am still looking for him!
I have been on a few trips this month to find one! I have been to the Cougar Bay Reserve and other lakes in Idaho to find one. We did not see any Southern Leopard Frogs, but we did find some Spotted Frogs, tadpoles, and other cool animals!
Hmmm.... Vernal ponds... home of the Spotted Frog. Can we find some?
Any frogs here?
I found some Spotted frog tadpoles in the ponds! They were SO BIG!
Here are some facts about the frogs I DID find:
Spotted Frogs:
They are aquatic, meaning they live in or near permanent water. This means the water never dries up. They like that.
They love ponds.
The love to eat bugs!
The scientific name for Spotted Frog is Rana pretiosa.
Here are some facts about Southern Leopard Frogs:

Maybe you can try to find one? :)
Thanks for inviting me to your blog. Aunt Kelly has tree frogs at her house. We are going there tomorrow. If I see one I will take a picture.
